ETTA MasterMinds

Transform knowledge into action!

  • Do you feel like you’re the only one facing these challenges? Do you struggle with your problems alone, without anyone to support you? Or maybe your organization is too small to find colleagues with similar experiences?

  • Are you working in a virtual team and feeling increasingly isolated? Do you miss a community that could help you move forward?

  • Are you tired of training sessions that bring no real results? Do you want to implement changes, but daily routines keep holding you back? If you feel stuck and have no one to share your challenges with – you’re not alone.

MasterMind for business is something like a group training for your fitness. Seemingly, you exercise alone, but the presence of others helps keep you motivated. Mastermind groups are ideal for someone who learns well in a group and for whom support from the group is important. A mastermind group is a kind of “clan” where you can safely discuss your business challenges.

In a MasterMind group, you learn and solve your issues by doing. This is why working in a mastermind format falls into the category of experiential learning activities, or learning by doing and experiencing.

How does MasterMind work?

MasterMind is a series of meetings where you work on your challenges in a group of supportive people. You come to each meeting with a specific topic – the issue you are currently working on. You present your question or dilemma to the other participants and decide for yourself what you want from them – feedback, questions, guidance, materials… or maybe everything at once?

You have a designated time to discuss your topic, and when it passes, another person takes over the leading role, bringing in their own question or problem. You will be surprised how often the challenges of other participants turn out to be close to your own. By supporting others, you also learn to relate to situations that you yourself have experienced or may encounter in the future.

Like every participant, you are responsible for what topic you bring to the next meeting. You start by taking stock of your progress – it’s great motivation! Many times you will experience how powerful is the interest in your topic and the support you receive from the group.

What is important when choosing a MasterMind group?

Topic. In a MasterMind group, not only do you receive guidance on your own challenges, but you also learn by solving other participants’ problems together. That’s why it’s so important that the topic you work on is similar for everyone. Shared experiences and similar challenges make knowledge exchange more valuable and mutual support more effective.

Proficiency Level. A leader with 20 years experience might face different challenges than a first time manager. As in yoga groups, selecting the right level of proficiency in MasterMind is of paramount importance. Your co-participants are people who face similar challenges and are at a similar stage of development. With their guidance, questions and inspiration, you can more effectively solve your own problems and directly address the issues most important to you.

Who is MasterMind for?

The short answer is: for anyone who wants to consistently work on a topic that is important to them, keeping them motivated with the support of the group. Regular calendar appointments help you focus on what’s important, rather than letting the topic drift into the background.

MasterMind is especially helpful in getting things done that, according to the Eisenhower Matrix, are important but not urgent – those that are easily put off. With the group, you are assured that what really matters will never be forgotten.

Is it “forever”?

It usually takes several months of systematic work to achieve lasting results on important, though not always urgent, topics. That’s why MasterMind is a process, not a one-time meeting.

You can think of it as a “project group” that will help you bring your goals to a specific stage of realization. In our program, you are invited to a series of six meetings, spread out over about three months. Some MasterMind programs last longer – even a year – depending on the needs of the participants and the scale of the challenge.
