The 200-person competence center of a large company was created entirely during the COVID pandemic. Leaders needed to pay special attention to implementation, but also to integrate their teams online.
In the future, however, they were expected to work in a hybrid mode. ETTA consultants know that this process requires the acquisition of new competencies, the learning of which must also take place in a virtual environment.
How to manage a hybrid team
The needs were perfectly addressed by the Hybrid Leader Academy. Over the course of four active 3.5-hour online workshops, leaders had the opportunity not only to learn good practices in virtual team management, but also to better touch on difficult areas such as building commitment or managing emotions in the online team. The project involved all leaders in the company, including the head of the center.
Success factor:
Due to the fact that the project started with a Kick-off session and thanks to the excellent cooperation with the HR team, all leaders had a good understanding of the purpose and meaning of the session and were prepared for the active way of working at the workshop. The result: alignment and engagement.
Added value:
Synergy among leaders. Thanks to the fact that all leaders including the head of the center participated, and all had the opportunity to discuss and work in groups repeatedly during the program, the previously dispersed leadership team gained new quality, cohesion, and strengthened relationships.
Participants’ feedback:
What surprised me most positively was that despite the remote setting, the presenters were able to keep the participants focused and interested.
Practical advice and tips that I can already implement. One of the best trainings I’ve been to!
Great online experience, super role model.
