- Building authority, the role of the boss, and decision-making processes
- Approach to time and deadlines in Indian culture
Module II
Cooperation and communication with Indians
- Challenges of virtual cooperation
- Typical communication styles — high- and low-context cultures
- Understanding the “unsaid” — how to better interpret messages from Indian colleagues
- Practical guidelines for communication via phone, email, and meetings
- Writing effective correspondence with Indian partners
- The concepts of saving and losing face — and their impact on collaboration
- Handling errors and escalation situations
- Summary: creating your personal plan for more effective cooperation with Indian colleagues
