    Module I

    Emotional Intelligence – introduction

    • Introduction to Emotional Intelligence (EI): definition and its significance in career advancement
    • Emotional Intelligence components as described by Daniel Goleman
    • Assessing personal Emotional Intelligence – can we measure EI? Can I increase my scores?
    • Self-awareness as a starting point in developing EI – how to grow it and what are the most popular tools
    • What is a self-regulation? Can and should we always control our emotions and behaviours? Is it possible?
    • Motivation as a key to changes and creating the drive.
    • What it means to have empathy? How can we show it to others? How to manage my empathy not be burned out by own emotions
    • Social skills – is it possible to build them if someone is not a “people person”? How to maintain them throughout time

    Emotional Intelligence in a team

    • Recognizing and managing emotions in the workplace – role of emotions in the workplace and strategies for recognizing and managing them effectively
    • Developing self-awareness: mindfulness practices, journaling, feedback from others
    • Techniques for enhancing self-management skills: stress management and resilience building
    • Communicating with Emotional Intelligence – assertive communication, giving constructive feedback, handling difficult conversations
    • Can cultural and generational differences change how we perceive Emotional Intelligence? Do we have different definitions of EI?
    • Growth mindset – how is it related to Emotional Intelligence and how to build it
    • Role of Emotional Intelligence in leadership – can leader show empathy?
