    Module I

    Getting to know the Indians

    • What is culture? A few words about what behavior we consider to be dependent on the culture and which on the personality of the individual
    • Values – what lies beneath particular Indian behaviors
    • A few words about India – chosen characteristics of society and history that may have impact on behaviors
    • Dimensions of culture – varying approaches to various aspects of business life
    • The basis of differences and similarities between business cooperation in Poland and India
    • Focus on the task or workplace relationships
    • Building authority, the role of the boss, the role of the employee and the decision-making process
    • Approach to time and deadlines in Indian culture

    Module II

    Cooperation and communication with the Indians

    • Challenges of virtual coooperation
    • Characteristics of typical behaviours of Indians in the way of communication – cultures of high and low context
    • What goes without saying – how to better understand Indian colleagues, how to communicate with them?
    • Communication with Indian colleagues – communicators, telephone, e-mail, meetings
    • How to correspond with a colleague from India to increase the probability of obtaining the desired effect?
    • The concept of losing or saving face and its impact on communication
    • Dealing with error and escalation situations
    • Summary – what do I need to change to be more effective in cooperation with colleagues from India?
